Im 21 (22 in march) with 3 points and a claim on my name (but settled)… My insurance renewal for my car is about £600 fully comp, thats on a £5000 car.. Not too bad, But i found insurance for a honda civic type r for about £50/ getting me one of them! haha

WOW $228 for insurance a year in the UK
compared to $1300 a year in the Notheast US

sorry mate, that’s the reality of being 18. I drive a ford focus, I’m 29 and my insurance cost me £250 last year.
It’s nice to get a good car at 18, but the insurance will always get you, best option may be to get rid of it and get something cheaper.
BTW, what engine is it?
